盛永伟
加州大学洛杉矶分校（UCLA）地理系终身教授，主要研究方向包括遥感、摄影测量、地理信息系统，及其在资源管理、环境分析及全球变化研究中的应用。盛博士毕业于浙江大学地球科学系遥感专业，分别于1988、1991获得学士和硕士学位，并于2000年获得加州大学伯克利分校环境科学及政策管理系博士学位，曾任教于纽约州立大学环境科学暨林业betway必威西汉姆联官网。在国际主要专业期刊上发表论文40余篇，其中包括美国《科学》杂志论文3篇。目前的研究项目有地理信息科学中的三维信息技术、北极地区30年来的水资源变化研究、青藏高原等寒冷地区古湖泊及现代湖泊、植被生态环境演变研究等等。欢迎国内学者交流合作。
Yongwei Sheng
Dr. Sheng is a scientist in the field of Geospatial Information Systems and Technologies (GIST) with research interests in photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and their applications in large-area environmental monitoring and assessment. He graduated from Earth Science Department, Zhejiang University with B.S. and M.E. in 1988 and 1991, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Policy and Management in 2000 from University of California, Berkeley. He was a Research Scientist at National Satellite Meteorological Center of China between 1991 and 1995. He was on faculty of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, teaching photogrammetry and remote sensing. He is a tenured Professor at UCLA Geography Department, teaching GIS and remote sensing. He has published ~40 journal papers, including three in Science. His current research projects include 3-D information technologies in geospatial information science, pan-Arctic assessment of decadal terrestrial water storage change, paleo and recent lake dynamics on the Tibetan Plateau.
